Have You Heard About Costello Tagliapietra's Spring 2012 Collection?

For your eyes only, here's an exclusive look at the Costello Tagliapietra Spring/Summer 2012 show!

Designers Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra presented their collection on September 9th during New York Fashion Week. The show took place at Milk Studios in the meatpacking district in downtown nyc.

Lead by mastermind Nelson Vercher of the Rita Hazan Salon NYC, this hairstyle was created using a variety of hydrating and borderline "greasy" gel products to ensure that the hair remained looking wet and dewy throughout the show.

Using several shades of orange around the eyes, the MAC makeup artists blew me away with this fresh yet elegant look. The inspiration for hair and makeup was to create the illusion that these women walked right out of a rain forest and on to the runway.

As glamorous as these runway shows look, many people are unaware of all the hard work that goes into displaying each collection. Let me tell you- all the stories you hear about fashion week madness are no rumors my friends! It's no secret that when the clock strikes the heat kicks in backstage... hair and makeup artists EVERYWHERE- running behind the models and sticking in hair pins until the last second. Everyone stepping on everyone's feet while trying to stay out of each other's way. If you don't believe me when I say it's super crowded back there watch this video of the action backstage as they wrapped up the show. Hours of preparation for merely 5 minutes on the runway. It's absolute MADNESS... but hey, it's that exact madness that gives us the adrenaline rush we crave!

Until next time
